Security Architect and Integrator Generalist

Location: New York City

This highly leveraged internal consulting position within a major financial institution’s IT Security organization has excellent growth potential. The security architecture team works with IT groups on a global basis to ensure that IT projects are executed on a secure basis. While a software development background is key to provide subject matter expertise and sound recommendations on securing applications, the position does not require daily development duties.

Responsibilities include:

Work with development teams in architecture design and review session.
Provide specific security expertise to development teams. Areas include secure database access, security testing, authentication methods, implementing encryption, entitlement design, logging, input validation, secure storage design.
Identify areas of risk on projects where security requirements cannot be fully addressed in the required time frame of the project.
Help identify areas of infrastructure the firm might want to invest in to further improve the discipline of application security.
Create documentation and guidance on the secure implementation of new technologies in the firm. This involves liaising with other technology subject matter experts to build consensus.
Conduct application security training for development groups.

Network and Host Security Analyst

SystemExperts™ is looking for a network and host security analyst to perform infrastructure-level penetration tests, system hardening reviews, administration of Linux-based testing systems, and development of testing and reporting tools. Key skills include in-depth knowledge of Unix/Linux, Windows, TCP/IP, web servers, networking devices and technologies, firewalls, penetration testing tools and techniques, and the ability to develop custom tools in Perl, C, and Java.

The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of security experience, a relevant college degree, Cisco/Linux/Microsoft certifications, and be comfortable writing documents and having interactive technical discussions with security professionals in Fortune 500 companies. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, capable of working productively and independently from a home office, and located in the North East, preferably with easy access to New York City, Boston, or Philadelphia.

Application Security Analyst

SystemExperts™ is looking for an application security penetration testing expert to assist in application vulnerability testing, network application design reviews, security source code reviews, and custom tool development. Key skills include penetration testing of: ASP, ASP.NET, JSP, C, C++, Java, MySQL, Oracle, SyBase, PHP, Web Services, and proficiency in both Unix/Linux and Windows environments. The Analyst must be knowledgeable of network oriented issues in TCP/IP environments as well as database concepts.

We require that the candidate have 5 to 7 years of security experience, a relevant college degree, and be comfortable writing documents and having interactive technical discussions with security professionals in Fortune 500 companies. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, capable of working productively and independently from a home office, and located in Boston, Philadelphia, or New York..
